If you want to get demolitions, you can use a feat, but I usually leave it at 1 pointĭump a few into repair so that you can fully upgrade T3. You will have enough skill points for pretty much everything. The implants from constitution are only worth it if you care about the constitution on TOP OF the implant bonuses. If you do not have a damage feat available, put it into tanking (jedi defense, deflection, toughness, etc.)ĭump every attribute point into strength. Since you're not hitting as much, flurry becomes more efficient, so go with that as your main attack.Īll other points go into lightsaber related damage skills (weapon focus, finesse, etc.) My character is a wanderer, not a berserker. Personally, I dump my first feats into dueling. Wisdom: 10 You could switch with charisma if you get the handmaiden (for the buff to defense) She who could not turn away from suffering, and whose soul was shattered. This build is both about becoming a master of the blade, as well as RPing the wandering exile. Situationally they're useful, but they're not something you're going to need to keep an eagle-eye on. Lightsaber stances aren't hugely important, you learn them in the course of the game. It's worth having as many slots for them as you possibly can. You can fit more crystals in that way, and unlike the original game there's a plethora of Attribute-modifying crystals in KOTOR 2 that can really jack your stats up. Finesse: Melee Weapons, despite what is says on the tin (and despite the presence of the Finesse: Lightsabers feat) works on both melee weapons and lightsabers, so if for whatever reason you wanted to run a high DEX build, it might be useful to get quickly as well.Īs above, two lightsabers is the best idea. Dual-wielding weapons is by far the most effective way to fight in KOTOR for any class, so dual-weapon fighting is probably a good idea. Do Demolitions on your first level-up, and Repair on your second-trust me, it works better that way.Īs for Feats to prioritize, much will be up to you beyond the initial cross-classing. This is what you must spend your first two feats on, and you shouldn't invest any points into either Demolitions or Repair until you cross-class them. What makes 14 INT sufficient is cross-classing Sentinel's two non-class skills, which allows you to equally level up all of your skills as you go, and have about 12/13 in each by the time you're level 15 and ready to prestige. Since that saves you from investing 6 attribute points to get up to an attribute level in INT you don't really need, though, and pays off in combat as a result, putting the 14 in CON is more than worth it.
14 CON will let you equip moderately powerful implants, some of which include attribute or skill implants which might be critical to crafting in order to compensate for having less than 16 INT. The CON is needed because implants in KOTOR 2 are based on your Constitution attribute level, not feats like the original game. The only two things that are mandatory as a Sentinel are at least 14 CON, as well as 14 INT-no more, no less. If you want to be a primarily Force-based build, you can stack more WIS and CHA if you want to do melee, you can grab a little DEX and a bunch of STR. The specifics of most of your attributes as a Sentinel are up to you, because for the most part you're going to pick based off of what prestige class you want to work your way into.

By starting Sentinel, you leave yourself free to take one of the two combat-based prestige classes rather than the skill-based middle-ground, which will also make you more powerful at the end of the game. That said, Sentinel is the best class to play in KOTOR 2, because many dialogues are locked behind skill checks, and all of the crafting in the game is as well.

There are a few other bugfix mods out there that are worthwhile, but TSLRCM is the single most important thing you need to be running.

Out the gate, I'll ask: are you using TSLRCM? It's the most important part of playing KOTOR 2, and if you're on a device that can mod the game, you should absolutely be using it at a minimum.
